Event Description: In partnership with Medgar Evers College (univerity in Brooklyn), the Intern Group is organizing a charity 5K running/walking team to help raise funds for WaterAid! This is an awesome opportunity to not only get some exercise for a good cause but also explore Central Brooklyn – a dynamic, diverse cultural hub in the most important city in the world. Participants will stroll down closed streets, lined with banners where corporate sponsors will be handing out water & towels. The race will conclude with an Award Ceremony, refreshments and entertainment. 1/3 of your entry fee will go towards fundraising for WaterAid! *Run/Walk registration fee includes a t-shirt, bib, refreshments and entertainment. What is WaterAid? WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to improving lives by increasing access to safe water, hygiene, and sanitation. One third of your registration fee will go towards WaterAid projects in Nicaragua, helping people gain access to clean water and toilets.
