Citizen Aid is aimed at anyone who has concerns about being involved in a major incident whether gun, knife or terrorism related and whether you work in a high risk environment or just want to be prepared. It is suitable for anyone but there are some floor exercises involved so you do need to be able to kneel down. The course deals directly with major, life threatening injuries and is quite graphic including pictures and scenarios that may well be very upsetting. We do not consider it suitable for people under 18 years of age It is not a substitute for a workplace First Aid course. The course covers: Keeping safe in an emergency Run, Hide, Tell Emergency Services response Actions when faced with Knife attack Gun attack Bomb Triage Immediate, life saving steps to take Hand over to Emergency Services FAQs Prices on Eventbrite are VAT inclusive Assessment process Please note that candidates must be able to perform exercises at floor level where required. It is a requirement of all regulated courses that the candidate should be able to communicate effectively with Emergency Services and, although this is not assessed formally, your instructor must be satisfied that this is the case. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You have to be at least 14 years old to attend this event; we strongly advise that you need to be 18 years old or more as the course is quite grapic Photo ID is required on the day and we accept photocard driving licences, passports, National ID cards, staff passes, CIS cards etc. If you are unsure then please call or email us  What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is a long-stay, public car park opposite the hotel and others in the area. The hotel is on several bus routes (Hastings Pier stop) and walkable from Hastings Railway Station How can I contact the organiser with any questions? No Can I update my registration information? Yes, by emailing us  Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes. If you’re just changing the name, then there is no charge.
