This will occur during the practice sessions of the active forms and meditation technologies of this profound Chi Kung. One of the characteristics is this form is only taught “face to face”. The student receives initiation from a teacher who opens “3 doors” allowing for the of success of a practice. Unique to this form of Chi Kung is its emphasis on a “secret meridian”, which coincides with “uma nadi” of the Hindu Tantrics, and of the practitioners of Vajrayana and Dzogchen. Therefore, Dakmo Health Chi Kung is particularly beneficial for practitioners of these paths. The origin of this practice comes from Dakmo, a Hindu prince also known as Daruma, Tamo, Damo and Boddhidharma, is the 28th patriarch of Zen Buddhism, counting from Sakyamuni Buddha. After receiving the succession of the lineage, Dakmo travelled throughout Asia, learning forms of meditation, martial arts, and Chi Kung. Ultimately, he founded, in China, the famous Shaolin monastery. No previous Chi Kung experience is required, but an open heart and “beginner’s mind” are welcome prerequisites.
