From 12-15 October, the Esquire Townhouse with Dior is opening its doors for four days of live talks, interviews, screenings and masterclasses. Covering everything you expect from Britain's most upmarket men's magazine – from style to sport, tech to travel, food to film and everything else in between. And we'd really like you to be there. Recognised by a faithful fan base that includes everyone from Hollywood actors to Olympic athletes, this is the perfect chance to try it for yourself. 9:00am - 10:00am: Vinyasa Flow with triyoga Vinyasa means “to place with special awareness and intention.” A popular form of modern yoga, the movement practised is continuous, smooth and unbroken. Emphasis is placed on harmonising the movements of the body and breath in creative sequences. 9:00am - 10:00am: BXR Gary Logan - Head of Boxing at BXR, has designed a class tailored specifically for to Esquire Town House. The class will include a warm up followed by basic boxing drills including pad work, rope work and callisthenic training. 10:00am - 11:00am: The Method with Third Space A 45 minute full body conditioning workout designed to sculpt and tone the arms, legs, glutes and core through the use of resistance loop bands. Each exercise is performed at three different tempo variations which will enable full muscle fibre recruitment to help strengthen the muscle and improve range of movement. It’s a unique studio-based workout designed to be accessible and fulfilling for all levels. No ring, no bags, no wraps. Expect cardio, conditioning, endurance and partner drills in this high energy, technical class led by the experts at Equinox. 3:30pm – 4:30pm: Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester Wine Tasting However much some of us think we know about wine, the reality is probably a little more sketchy. Which is why this informative and entertaining masterclass from one of London's top sommeliers is a must for anyone wanting to understand the basic principles of tasting and drinking wine. Christopher Bothwell, Head Sommelier for Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester will cover the topics of serving, tasting and navigating a wine list. 4:00pm - 5:00pm: Golden Years - The Trump Aesthetic With Peter York Who better to offer an alternative take on the Trump phenomenon than Peter York, the legendary ‘Urban Tribalist’ and social trends writer and performer who co-authored the best-selling ‘The Official Sloane Ranger Handbook’ in 1982, has since written 11 books and many TV and radio programmes, including BBC2’s ‘Peter York’s Eighties’ and ‘The Rise and Fall of the Ad Man’ plus an Edinburgh show, ‘How To Become A Nicer Type Of Person’ and most recently explained hipsters in his 2016 BBC documentary ‘Peter York’s Hipster Handbook’.
