"Join us this Sunday at 6:30pm for a 40-minute, full body, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. Get ready to burpee, squat jump, and sprint your way through the most efficient workout of your week! This workout is designed for all fitness levels, and modified versions of the movements in this workout will be demonstrated for those who need alternatives to make things easier (or want an added challenge). What is high-intensity interval training? HIIT is a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with intermittent recovery periods. Unlike typical cardio workouts, there is NO emphasis placed on "pacing yourself" to get through the workout. Rather, the focus is on beginning every movement with 150% effort and holding that intensity for as long as you can. Take a break. Do it again."
