The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation is pleased to announce MDF DM Day at the University of Kansas! This one-day conference, located at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center in Kansas City, Missouri, will feature patient-centered programming, breakout sessions, and a fantastic Ask-The-Experts interactive session. This special event brings together MDF with clinicians and researchers from the University of Kansas to support our patient and family community, share information and resources, and provide close-to-home access to educational sessions. REGISTRATION FEE & TICKETS Registration is free and provides entrance to general and breakout sessions at the conference, as well as access to resources, light breakfast and lunch. Registering for the conference does not reserve your hotel room. You need to contact a hotel directly to book your room. See below for more information on accommodations. SESSIONS The day’s agenda includes: A research update including information on the DMCRN biomarkers study and a briefing on the Ionis DMPKRx clinical trial An update on the international Care Considerations project Sessions exploring cardiology, pulmonology, sleep concerns, occupational therapy/physical therapy and exercise, speech, nutrition and swallowing An interactive Ask-The-Experts panel A light breakfast and full lunch will be served. CHILDCARE SERVICES Childcare services are not provided at the conference. Please make all necessary arrangements prior to arrival so that you are able to take advantage of all that the conference has to offer. We recommend www.care.com to find experienced caretakers that will fit your personal budget and specific needs. MDF members traveling with young children are also encouraged to connect with other MDF community members via the MDF Facebook page to solicit interest in shared childcare opportunities with other conference attendees. REGISTRATION CANCELLATION We understand that circumstances can change.
