The Tactical Survival Crisis Management Unit is hosting a National Preparedness Month Field Exercise at Robert Bradby Field on Saturday, October 14th, 11:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Robert Bradby Field is located approx. 1/2 Mile East of Duffield Middle School. This event is supported by the Detroit Police Dept. and the U.S. Border Patrol who will give capabilities presentations and demos on disaster preparedness including Detroit Bomb Squad, Aviation Air, Support, SRT, K-9 Unit, Mounted Unit, Underwater Recovery Team, and others. Representatives of the Dept. of Homeland Security/FEMA, Community Citizens Corps., and the Community Emergency Response Team will conduct mock disaster/incident drills and encourage citizens to become volunteers. All local residents are invited as well as CERT Teams from other communities.  Admission consist of the donation of non-perisable goods for distribution to recent hurricane victims.   For details contact Robert Middleton, Commanding Officer TSCMU 313-300-0165
