SAM Elite’s Summer Sports Performance Program is a comprehensive ninety minute training session that is designed for any athlete, but includes personalized aspects based on both the individual and their sport. The first forty minutes of each day is dedicated to improving movement quality, through soft tissue release, mobility and flexibility training, movement efficiency exercises, and an active warm-up, and movement speed, through linear and lateral speed development, change of direction drills, jumping and plyometrics, and explosive resistance training. The following thirty minutes emphasizes the most important aspect of athletic performance and injury reduction: strength. Finally, the rest of the session focuses on improving sports-specific endurance before engaging in recovery activities and education. Based on the athlete’s training age, commitment level and availability, SAM Elite offers a choice of two sessions per week and a three sessions per week. Daily Schedule: 90 minute sessions -20 minute warm-up -20 minute high velocity (speed, plyometrics, agility) -30 minute low velocity (strength) -20 minute conditioning (primarily aerobic based) SAM Elite’s Summer Sports Performance Program is based around two goals for each and every athlete: to reduce the likelihood of injury while participating in their sport and to improve the physical abilities, such as speed, agility, power, strength and endurance, needed to succeed. SAM Elite offers the facility and equipment, expert programming and experienced and dynamic coaching needed to accomplish these goals. In addition, a low coach to athlete ratio ensures that this coaching can be applied to every athlete throughout every session. There is only way to train with the elite in the mid-Willamette valley, and that’s with SAM Elite.
