Sat Aug 19 – It's Summertime and we keep the thermometer and good times high at the South London Soul Train as we present another combined 28hrs worth of the absolute finest in funk, soul, groove, disco, brass, breaks, hip hop + more on 4 floors at The CLF Art Cafe. Part of our on-going mission to move your mind & body + force feed yoh soul with the absolute best of times.

Level 1 – Your SLST host Jazzheadchronic unleashing a nuclear payload of ferocious funk, groove disco and hip hop to the floor and waiting for the sweat to fall. Beware the soul shrapnel, things bout to get reckless in the place. The Jazzhead joined once again by new brass band on the stage destroying block. DON’T PROBLEM BRASS BAND. If you saw them back in June at The SLST at OMEARA London then you know what we're talking about. If you didn't???? Prepare Yourselves!

DON'T PROBLEM Made up of key players from several of London’s finest brass acts [past and present] and are, simply put, a stunning band of musicians, firing on all cylinders, who are truly at the top of their musical game. Just one listen to their brilliant new complex, yet accessible ‘DONT PROBLEM EP’ [made up of completely original compositions] and you know that this band are seriously going places.

And if you like that, prepare yourselves – as it’s the Live stage where this band truly come to life. The DPB delivering a pure brass driven polyphonic assault, served up with pure relish, delight and fire. A Sound that's guaranteed to leave you begging for more fo sho + we truly can’t wait to once again witness them sonically demolish the SLST Live stage.

Level 2 – Funks gonna hit the Fan as Legendary 45 funk, soul & rare groove DJs SNOWBOY & DEAN RUDLAND drop The Funk, The Whole Funk & Nothing but The Funk on 45 til you can't take it no moh! 1-4 The dancefloor junkie fo sho. Future joint pain guaranteed.

Then on Level 3 – S’all about Mukatsuku Records Founder, the simply outstanding Nik Weston & Long term DJ partner in riddim & rhyme DJ Huw 72 – Promising another night of blistering eclectic, globalistic groove. Bringing tha audio love and serious vinyl pressure. Absolutely, Positively Taste.T.

The South London Soul Train 4 floor line up completed in the Rye Wax / Basement by DJs from the most excellent FIRST WORD + WAH WAH 45 Record labels, serving up more piping hot joints from the world wide soul underground. A real pressure cooker of sound, cookin’ hot til it pops. All Night Long!

As always, All floors taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.

However – Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this ones for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.

Event Runs 10pm – 5am / £5/7/10/13 Adv from RA or £13 OTD / Takes place on the 1st, 2nd + 3rd Sat of each month + on-going specials at The CLF Art Cafe www.clfartcafe.org and Omeara London on the last Sat of each month [except August] + Beyond

NOTE: 500 TICKETS ALWAYS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR. But pls get there early as is always a roadblock, but once in it's well worth it 😀
