This course provides an introduction to working in an Emergency Relief Centre (ERC) and will provide local government staff with the training and preparedness to undertake a role in an ERC. The course will cover: Where the ERC sits in EM arrangements. ERC Operations and Roles of Relief Agencies. Functions of an ERC and the regional Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG's). ERC Team Roles and Responsibilities. Tools, templates and Checklists. ERC Floor Plans & Precinct/Site Plans. Discussion based exercises. Who should attend: EM Managers/Coordinators/Officers MERO and Deputies MRM and Deputies MECC Facility Managers MECC Planning or Logisitics Officers MECC Admin Support EMLO ERC Manager and Assistants ERC Precinct/Site Team Leader and Officers ERC Community Support Team Leader and Officers ERC Logistics Team Leader and Officers ERC Admin Team Leader and Officers ERC Information Team Leader and Officers HR Officers EHO Officers OHS Officers IT Officers Media Officers This training was developed by the North Western Metropolitan Region Emergency Management Collaboration for local government staff from the region.
