Course Length: half day Course Description Workplace inspections are a follow-up to the processes of hazard identification, assessment and control, and should be performed on a regular basis.  This course will illustrate how an effective inspection program is essential to workplace health and safety.  We provide comprehensive overviews of the methods of conducting workplace inspections, and provide any tools required to implement regular workplace inspections. Purpose A workplace inspection is a “fact finding mission”, rather than a fault finding exercise.  The purpose of this workshop is to identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions to protect the health and safety of workers and prevent equipment and property damage. Topics Covered Inspection definition  Types of inspections  Inspection preparation     Conducting a workplace inspection  Inspection findings reporting  Corrective action and follow-up Exercises You will be challenged to think analytically and abstractly regarding various aspects of the work environment that may lead to potential hazard, harm or loss.
