With Nutritionist and Chef Jenny Brewer Join Chef Jenny in this 4-day cooking series to learn how to transform your health using smart eating and lifestyle habits gleaned from new research on the diets, eating habits, and lifestyle practices of the Blue Zones—those places with the world's longest-lived, and thus healthiest, people. In this 4 class series, we’ll prepare delicious recipes from each blue zone, including Okinawa, Japan; Sardinia, Italy; Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula; and Ikaria, Greece. You’ll also be inspired by stories of the people, foods, and routines of healthy elders and understand the role community, family, and naturally healthy habits can play in improving our diet and health. And you’ll discover the exact foods that offer delicious ways to eat your way to optimum health and how to transform your kitchen into a mini blue zone. This class will be primarily vegetarian, with some use of fish, eggs and dairy. In those cases, there will be a vegan option. Class meets Monday, June 5th through Thursday, June 8th, 6:00pm to 8:30pm Price includes a glass of red wine (Hey-it’s Blue Zone Approved!) About the Instructor: Jenny Brewer is a nutritionist and natural foods chef who believes healthy food should be fun and flavorful. She's a graduate of the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in New York City, has a Masters Degree in Nutrition and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
