Heather is licensed (L.Ac) by the California Acupuncture Board in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She received her Doctorates degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, and her Master's of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Heather also holds a Master's degree in Public Health, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Science.
Prior to receiving an education in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Heather served in various capacities of conventional medicine within the Navy for 8 years. She was involved with direct military patient care for the Marines and Sailors at Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms, Okinawa, and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It was during this time that she realized that while modern medicine had broad and fascinating capabilities: it was not a complete treatment program. Heather discovered her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine and found that it offered effective natural treatment methods for patients. Through the use of acupuncture, moxibustion, microneedling, Chinese herbal remedies, nutritional advice, and meditation guidance she hopes to empower all of her patients to become masters of their own physical and mental well-being in the city of Temecula.
